Our History
The mission of the Imperial County Gang Intelligence Coalition is to enhance public safety.
ICGIC was founded in 2013 by a group of dedicated local, state, and federal law enforcement officers who recognized a critical gap in advanced training opportunities within Imperial County. At the time, officers often had to travel long distances to access specialized instruction, making it difficult for many agencies—especially those with limited resources—to keep up with evolving crime trends.
In response, these professionals came together to form ICGIC as a collaborative, non-profit organization focused on bringing high-quality training directly to the region. What began as a small coalition with a shared vision has since grown into a well-established organization serving law enforcement agencies across multiple jurisdictions.
What We Stand For
The Imperial Valley is a close-knit community with a shared identity — and a shared stake in its safety. At ICGIC, we believe that protecting our communities starts with preparation, connection, and a commitment to showing up for one another.
